一、 International standards
1.ASTM Standard
ASTM is the abbreviation of the American Society for Materials and Testing, and the ASTM standard is one of the most widely used standards in the carbon steel pipe manufacturing industry. Among them, A106, A53, A333, A335 and other series of standards specify the carbon steel seamless, welded pipe size, chemical composition and mechanical properties and other indicators.
2. API standards
API is the abbreviation of the American Petroleum Institute, and the API standard is applicable to carbon steel pipes in oil, gas, water and other fields. Among them, the API 5L standard specifies seamless and welded steel pipes for pipeline transportation.
二、International and domestic industry standards
1. GB standard
GB standard is the abbreviation of China's national standard, GB/T, GB/TB and GBn series of standards are commonly used in domestic carbon steel pipe manufacturing standards, including seamless, welded, alloy and other types of pipes, among which, GB/T8162 standard specifies the structure of seamless steel pipe manufacturing methods, size and chemical composition and other basic requirements. GB/T9711 is the adoption and modification of the API 5L standard.
2. EN standard
The EN standard is a steel pipe manufacturing standard developed by the European Union, and EN10216-1 has developed the most widely used series of standards on the market for steel pipes manufactured in Europe, of which EN10216-1 specifies the manufacturing and material requirements of seamless steel pipes.
3. DIN standard
The DIN standard is a steel pipe manufacturing standard issued by the German Standardization Committee. Among them, the DIN17175 standard stipulates seamless steel pipes under high temperature and high pressure, while DIN2391 stipulates cold-drawn seamless pipes with high precision, thin walls and precise dimensions.
The above listed standards are commonly used in carbon steel pipe manufacturing standards, however, each standard has its own detailed provisions, covering the quality of the pipe, size, chemical composition, mechanical properties and other requirements to ensure the quality of the pipe and the use of safety.
In short, whether it is an international standard or a domestic industry standard, a series of manufacturing requirements are specified to ensure the quality and performance of carbon steel pipes. Therefore, for the selection and use of carbon steel pipes, we must choose the appropriate execution standards and pipe specifications according to different use environments and requirements.
